We fell in love with the Maldives - they are a
bsolutely amazing. Gray Eagle Rays and 
black or white tip Reef-sharks swam around our water villa and we could watch them on the way 'out' or on the way back 'home' to our over-water villa on stilts. It is a amzingly quiet (apart from the waves you occasionally hear the sea-plane) and the water has the most amazing colours in all shades of blue. It is a picture postcard kind of place. We learned to dive and passed out Open Water Padi certification - as part of the training we went on several dives and saw lion-fish, leaf-fish, a frog-fish (Astrid's highlight), big Napoleon fish, different types of trigger fish, oriental sweetlips, Moorish Idol's, Puffer fish, Nemo's and many many more......we will definately go back
